On Monday May 17, Governor Baker announced sweeping State Reopening Plans which dropped most statewide pandemic-related restrictions effective May 29. Additionally, the CDC lifted their mask guidelines. Based on this information, our staff and board have established the following guidelines for our services, and all CIC events.
Do we have to pre-register for services?
No, pre-registration will no longer be required and will now become a voluntary pre-check-in. We'll continue to have a check-in station and friendly greeters to meet you as you arrive.
Do I have to wear a mask?
Masks are no longer required, both indoors or outdoors, for anyone who is fully vaccinated. Wearing a mask is optional and encouraged for those who prefer to wear one for any reason.
Will the CIC Staff be wearing masks?
We are not requiring our staff to wear a mask if they are fully vaccinated, but all will have a mask at their disposal when talking with someone wearing a mask.
Do children have to wear a mask?
Mask-wearing for children attending services, many of whom are not yet eligible for a vaccination, is entirely up to their parents.
Is seating still socially distanced?
No, we will no longer require socially distant seating and you will be able to move throughout the building freely. But to accommodate those preferring some social distance, we have reserved the side sections for you. In all other seating sections, as you are finding your seat, please politely ask if neighboring seats are available.
Are Sunday Kid's ministries starting up again?
We are excited to let you know that we are actively working on reopening our children's ministries on Sunday mornings. For the summer, we will be opening on the first Sunday of the month. We we will be sending out information on as we add more services.
Will church continue to be streamed online?
Yes, for those that are still not comfortable returning to church in person, we will continue to stream our 10am service.
Should I come to church if I am feeling unwell?
No, if you are feeling unwell, please stay home. This is especially true if you are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms such as fever, dry cough, tiredness, sore throat, loss of taste or smell, etc. then please stay home and follow the current quarantining guidelines.
What other safety precautions are being taken?
We will continue to clean and sanitize as we have been doing. We are truly excited for the relaxed restrictions, but we also want to do everything we can to continue ensuring that our entire church family is safe and protected.
If you are not quite ready to return physically, you can still join us online. We look forward to connecting, worshipping and praying with you there. Also, you can continue to partner with us financially through online giving.
Check out our upcoming events for details on which events will be hosted online or in-person.
Lastly, our CIC Food Pantry will continue to operate as scheduled, from 7PM-8PM on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month.
